Heather Jackson

M.Ed, Curriculum and Instruction, Chapman University
BS, Chemistry, California State University, San Jose

Heather has a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from San Jose State University and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University. Heather taught high school Chemistry for 9 years. After being exposed to years of scientific data regarding the health of the planet, she realized how serious the situation was and decided to use her knowledge to educate people on how to protect the earth in regard to sustainability. At this point, she changed her classes to Environmental Chemistry and Alternative Energy Design and Construction. This was the beginning of her journey as an active and passionate environmental enthusiast. It was at this point that she started to work and collaborate with Bob Massaro of Healthy Buildings on sustainable education. After being exposed to the high impact of buildings on the earth, the environment and economics, Heather started to work for Healthy Buildings as a Marketing Assistant. She is currently using her knowledge regarding Chemistry, the science of the earth, and sustainability to educate others through marketing on the necessity to switch their building structures toward sustainable building practices. She believes if people are exposed to the truth of how their living practices impact the earth, they will make wise choices in how they live in order to promote the future of our planet for the benefit of our families, communities and the world.

When Heather isn’t working or supporting a community environmental project, you can find her exploring her passion, which is the great outdoors.
